Spells by powerful sorcerers  -  love spells, revenge spells - and power spells - ancient magic to bring you everything you desire - this is the claim of witchcraft, and it is also what has been thrown at masonry. Claims that masons are merely power hungry men who work together to create wealth an influence have followed free masons around since the day this secret society began. While they do no practise witchcraft as we know it, many of the rituals and ceremonies have been called evil, and ungodly. Devil worship is a label that no organisation wants, yet free masonry seems to survive, and even thrive, with these types of accusations thrown against them.

Certainly the free masons rituals are well documented by scores of sites, and from the outside they would certainly seem to border on black magic or witchcraft. The masons themselves are not very forthcoming about what they do in their rituals, and of course this just lets the rumors grow. The fact that they are a secret society just adds weight to the talk that they engage in practises of devilry and witchcraft. How much of this is true is unknown .... but if loose talk is anything to go by - it would seem that the free masons need to answer and open up. The fact that they seem to be in every facet of many governments around the world lends credence to the power spells and sorcery claims - otherwise how do they do it? Whether or not free masons are indeed powerful sorcerers is actually not in contention - they do have power, it is gained through ritual, and therefore it is sorcery of one kind or another - whether they actually use spells of any kind is conjecture - although everyone at some stage in their life feels like a good love spell or power spell - human nature I suppose.
